Lately, I have been feeling everything all at once.

Exhausted, but fulfilled. Overwhelmed, but happy. A little alone sometimes, but not necessarily lonely. Grateful for the life I am living, while still quietly yearning for the parts of it yet to happen.

It is such a strange thing you know, holding so many emotions at once and somehow being completely at peace with all of them.

Some days, I barely have enough time to sit with my own thoughts. There is always something to finish, somewhere to be, someone waiting for a response, or another idea demanding my attention. And yet, even on the days when I am running on very little sleep and wondering how I am going to get everything done, the thought of giving up never actually crosses my mind.

Because beneath all the exhaustion is something I absolutely do not take for granted.

I am happy. Very happy, and not because everything is perfect or because I have everything I want, but because I get to wake up every day and pursue the things that make my heart feel alive.

And what a beautiful privilege that is.

I have been thinking a lot about the woman I am growing into. Actually, scratch that. The woman I already am. For the longest time, I measured my progress by how much I had accomplished, how far I had come, or how much closer I was to the life I envisioned. There was always another milestone, another goal, another version of myself waiting somewhere in the future.

But lately, I have found myself feeling incredibly proud of the person I am right now.

Not just because of what I have managed to do, but because of the way I have put my life together. The focus, my focus, my dedication and the willingness to start all over when something isn’t working. The way I can become completely consumed by the tiniest details of something i am passionate about. Sometimes I laugh at myself because why do I care so much about EVERYTHING? 😭

But I do.

I care alot about the things I create, the spaces I occupy, the work I put into the world, the woman I see in the mirror, and the life I am intentionally building around her.

And I am learning not to apologize for that.

There is something incredibly freeing about living a life that feels unapologetically yours. Not one dictated by what everyone else is doing, what you should have accomplished by a certain age, or what people think your priorities ought to be.

Just yours.

Of course, that does not mean I have suddenly become this perfectly evolved woman who always makes the right decisions. Far from it, actually. πŸ˜‚

I still have my flaws. I still get things wrong. There are habits I am trying to unlearn, parts of myself I am working to improve, and moments when I have to sit myself down and have a very uncomfortable conversation with the truth.

But I am getting better at doing that without tearing myself apart. And that, perhaps, has been one of my favourite changes.

I used to dwell on things that did not go according to plan. A mistake would occupy so much space in my mind that I would forget everything else I had done right. I would replay situations, question myself, and sometimes allow one disappointment to overshadow an entire season of progress.

These days however, I try to give myself a little more grace. I can acknowledge that I handled something poorly without deciding I am terrible at everything. I can recognise a failure without making it my identity and i can admit that something needs to change and actually do something about it.

And when I need to begin again, I begin again.

No elaborate ceremony or endless self-punishment. Just another opportunity to do better.

Perhaps the biggest difference I have noticed is how I respond to feeling overwhelmed. Because, goodness, life has been overwhelming. πŸ˜‚

Between school, running businesses, managing people, learning new skills, creating content, and trying to maintain some semblance of a personal life, there have been days when I genuinely wondered how everything would fit into twenty-four hours.

Sometimes it did not. Some things had to wait. Some plans changed. Some days were less productive than I wanted them to be.

And the world did not end.

I am learning that I can have a lot on my plate without allowing everything on that plate to consume me.

Being overwhelmed no longer drowns me.

I think that is growth. It is not necessarily having fewer responsibilities or suddenly discovering the secret to balancing everything, but understanding that I do not have to fall apart simply because life gets demanding.

And somewhere in the middle of all this beautiful chaos, there is still a softer part of me.

The part that wants to slow down sometimes. To be loved. To experience tenderness and companionship. To have someone to share the little, seemingly insignificant details of my day with.

I do not think I am lonely, exactly.

I enjoy my own company. I love the life I am creating. I have things that excite me, people I care about, and so much to look forward to.

But I do yearn.

And I have realized that yearning does not automatically mean something is missing from the life I have.

I can be content and still desire more. I can be proud of where I am and still look forward to where I am going. And i can love my independence and still want to share my life with someone. There is room for all of it.

If anything, this season has taught me that happiness is not always this light, effortless feeling. Sometimes happiness looks like coming home completely exhausted after spending the entire day doing something you genuinely love.

Sometimes it is looking at a project you have poured yourself into and knowing that, regardless of the outcome, you gave it everything you had.

Sometimes it is simply realizing that you are living a life you once only imagined, even if the reality comes with far more responsibilities than the fantasy ever suggested.

And sometimes it is being able to look at yourself, flaws and all, and genuinely like the woman looking back.

I do not know exactly what the next few months will bring. There are still so many things I want to do, places I want to go, experiences I want to have, and parts of myself I am excited to discover. But I am no longer waiting for some distant version of my life to give myself permission to be happy.

I am happy here, too.

In the middle of the unfinished projects, the ambitious plans, the early mornings, the occasional uncertainty, and the beautiful little moments that make everything worthwhile.

I am so thankful for the opportunity to live this life. To try things, to get them wrong, to learn, to start all over and to pursue the desires of my heart with everything I have got.

And more than anything, I am thankful that I have not lost myself in the process of building it all. Quite the opposite, actually. I think I am finding more of myself every day.

So yes, I am tired and sometimes ridiculously so. I am overwhelmed, occasionally impatient, and still figuring out more things than I care to admit.

But I am fulfilled. I am grateful. I am hopeful. And I am so incredibly proud of myself.

So many feelings. And yet, not one of them is regret.

With love,

Cassie 🌸✨
